Economy
Section titled “Economy”Coinage provides the coins, while Vinconomy provides the shops that sell and buy goods from other players. The mods do not assign a value to a coin automatically, so agree on denominations and prices before putting a currency into circulation.
Mint coins with Coinage
Section titled “Mint coins with Coinage”- Craft an unshaped coin punch, then right-click it to design the shape of the coin.
- Use the shaped punch, a metal plate, and a hammer to make planchets.
- Make a Trussell and an anvil die. Right-click the Trussell to create the coin’s design.
- Put the planchets, the designed Trussell, and the anvil die into a coining pile, then right-click the pile to mint the coins.
Copy the design to a new Trussell before the old one breaks. A coin pouch or coin bag keeps minted currency easier to carry and sort.
Buy from a Vinconomy shop
Section titled “Buy from a Vinconomy shop”Find shops through the Player Shops map layer or a shop’s public waypoint. Open a stall to see its stock and price, then hold the required payment while making the purchase. Keep enough inventory or container space for the goods.
Open a shop
Section titled “Open a shop”- Place and configure a Shop Register.
- Link one or more sale displays to it, such as a shop mat, shop crate, tool rack, weapon rack, clothing stand, or sculpture stall.
- Put goods into the display and set the price and currency in its menu.
- Enable the register’s public waypoint if the shop should be visible on the map.
Sales proceeds go into the linked register. Empty it regularly: a full register cannot receive payment, so connected stalls cannot complete sales. An optional Shop Ledger can record sales by year and month. A Purchase Crate can be used when the shop should buy goods from players instead of selling its own stock.
For exchanging denominations, configure a Shop Teller Machine with two currencies and enough stock in the register to cover both directions. Its conversions are bidirectional, so only use ratios that are intended to work both ways.
